　　故事發生在1970年代的愛爾蘭，克里斯（希里安·墨菲 Cillian Murphy 飾）是當地的罪犯領袖，維農（沙爾托·科普雷 Sharlto Copley 飾）則是來自南非的軍火販，兩撥人通過賈斯丁（布麗·拉爾森 Brie Larson 飾）和奧德（艾米·漢莫 Armie Hammer 飾）的牽線搭橋，準備進行一筆數額巨大的軍火交易。　　哪知道在交易當天，維農帶來的武器竟然并不是克里斯之前預定的款式，這讓性格爆裂的克里斯非常的惱火，他將這種言而無信的行為視作是對自己威信的挑戰。與此同時，維農的手下哈里（杰克·萊諾 Jack Reynor 飾）控訴克里斯的親信斯特沃（薩姆·賴利 Sam Riley）騷擾了他的姐姐，這讓兩個幫派之間的關系處于一觸即發的境地。

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　After a collision with a comet, a nearly 8km wide piece of the asteroid "Orpheus" is heading towards Earth. If it will hit it will cause a incredible catastrophe which will probably extinguish mankind. To stop the meteor NASA wants to use the illegal nuclear weapon satellite "Hercules" but discovers soon that it doesn't have enough fire power. Their only chance to save the world is to join forces with the USSR who have also launched such an illegal satellite. But will both governments agree?
