李麗珍,谷峰,何啟南,陳山河,焦姣,陳松伶預(yù)科學(xué)校若智書院有一群成績堪憂思想活躍的學(xué)生，校董家的謝天（何啟南 飾）與謝地兄妹憑借老爸身份，即便留級也不擔(dān)心學(xué)業(yè)；綽號水電工的嘉明為人老實(shí)，暗戀同學(xué)白逸夢（陳松伶 飾），而白逸夢滿腦子言情幻想，全然沒有留意；李時(shí)珍（李麗珍 飾）因?yàn)樵谀咸窖笕簫u旅游，耽誤了開學(xué)日，在旅游期間，李時(shí)珍結(jié)識了香港青年戴運(yùn)河（陳山河 飾），運(yùn)河對時(shí)珍一見鐘情，不顧家人反對退掉美國大學(xué)，趕到香港入讀若智書院。運(yùn)河的到來令謝天大為緊張，謝天屬意時(shí)珍日久，和死黨吳成材一直無法打動芳心，但也不能容忍運(yùn)河插手。校園內(nèi)一時(shí)掀起了一場多角戀愛的爭奪……校董面對惡作劇的學(xué)生們大為光火，聘請軍校老師對書院進(jìn)行軍事化管理，這引發(fā)了學(xué)生們的空前團(tuán)結(jié)……

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
