別名 Learning to Lie 這是一部有關男人成長的藝術電影。也有人把其稱作德國版的;美國派故事從1982年的德國講起，即將走出校園的少年赫爾穆，喜歡上了少女布麗塔，于是，兩個同樣渴望愛的少男少女走到了一起，在圣誕夜的親密接觸后，布麗塔告別了赫爾穆去了美國讀書，悵然若失的赫爾穆感到十分彷徨，他開始主動接觸身邊的女孩，一段風流日子后，一切都成為過去，隨著閱歷的豐富，父母的離異，蒂娜的真情，讓他變得成熟了，也懂得了什么是自己真正的需要。
