　　Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart.　　Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory?　　n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in.　　What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts.　　On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired.　　One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places.　　Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.

　　小青年湯姆（伊恩·德·卡斯泰克 Iain De Caestecker 飾）致電有過一面之緣的女孩露西（愛麗絲·恩格勒特 Alice Englert 飾），邀請對方參加即將在愛爾蘭舉行的音樂節(jié)。湯姆處心積慮規(guī)劃行程，比音樂節(jié)預定提前一天到達目的地。他約女孩去網上預訂的基拉尼旅店留宿。筆直的公路無限延伸至遠方，四周但見無垠曠野，陰冷荒涼，幾乎看不到一個人影。汽車在無聊和枯燥中行駛，天色慢慢暗了下來，而他們卻迷失方向，始終找不到目的地。隨著暮色降臨，恐慌在彼此心底升起，他們在迷宮一般的叢林里失去方向，曾經輕浮曖昧的笑容不在。　　在漆黑曠野，一名滿臉是血的男子突然出現在湯姆和露西面前。原本設想中美好的約會，注定變成萬劫不復的噩夢……

　　《恐怖的二樓》少年畑野龍（鈴木福 飾）似乎天生具有靈視的能力，他和外婆、媽媽（YOU 飾）搬到新家，結果發(fā)現他們不是這里的唯一住戶。小龍看見了女鬼，可是媽媽卻不相信；《X醫(yī)院》信心受挫的實習醫(yī)生佐佐木直樹（藤谷太輔 飾）倍感壓力，在此期間，各種詭異事件也交替在他身邊出現，令他疲于奔命；《影子的暗示》厭倦了枯燥的工作，遠山美和（深田恭子 飾）計劃轉職旅游公司，期間她時常會看見神秘黑影，而黑影所至之處必然發(fā)生災難；《女子高中大危機》在女子高中任教的澤木洋介（坂口憲二 飾），其班上名叫亞里沙的女孩似乎制作了一個地下網站，他沒有料到，恐怖的危機正慢慢降臨這所高中；《蠕動的人偶》園田里菜（指原莉乃 飾）在街上相中了一個士兵人偶，于是不假思索將其買了下來，誰知這個仿佛有生命的玩偶正漸漸影響她的生活。

　　故事一開始，我們見到了12歲的扎凡（扎芙林·宰麗扎爾 Zafreen Zairizal 飾），一個叛逆而無憂無慮的女孩。然而，她的身體開始發(fā)生可怕的變化，而她卻試圖否認和掩飾這些變化，希望在學校里保持正常的生活。隨著朋友們對扎凡的排擠和攻擊，情節(jié)逐漸升級，達到了一個臨界點，整個學校陷入恐慌。　　學校里關于廁所里藏著一個暗影的傳說加劇了恐懼氛圍，而一位自告奮勇的醫(yī)療官決定趕走困擾眾人的惡魔。醫(yī)療官很快發(fā)現扎凡可能是問題的根源，打算為她進行驅魔。扎凡的內心狀態(tài)宛如一只被拖出棲息地的受驚老虎，她最終決定向眾人展示真實的本性，包括憤怒、狂暴和美麗。這可能是一個關于接受自己真實面貌的故事，同時也涉及到對于社會標準和期望的反抗。
