Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 沈傲君,張偉欣,李佳,姜武故事發生在某女子監獄中。深夜子時，萬籟俱寂，女囚周露（李佳 飾）面無表情地環視著陰暗的牢房，壓抑著狂野的情緒，時間一分一秒過去，她像下定決心般把雙手伸向了睡在一旁的另一位獄友。黑夜過去，白晝來臨，在遭眾獄友輪番凌辱后，周露被管教經緯帶進了發泄室中。監房高處窗中射入刺眼的陽光，陽光穿透了周露傷痕累累的胳膊，那是她數次自殺未果的標記。對著墻上斑駁的鏡片，她陷入痛苦難奈的回憶之中，冥冥間她似乎看到了早亡的父親，以及那個沾血的洋娃娃，又似乎看見了繼父那雙伸向自己的魔爪，還有被逼的瘋癲的母親，隨后又出現了向自己施暴的丈夫，周露徹底崩潰了......
