好像一切都很糟糕

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　Six people bound together by a traumatic experience decide to round off a year of group therapy in style. They join each other once more, traveling up to the Scottish Lowlands for a reunion weekend in a 1970s holiday let. Soon a number of mysterious and horrifying events start to expose the cracks in their relationships, and one by one they discover that trust runs but skin-deep. A night of closure turns out to be far more final than they could have anticipated.

　　利用《電子戰場2》留下的片段和一條非常細的故事線，亞歷克斯再次與1998年在非洲東部的機器人雇傭兵作戰。這一次，亞歷克斯發現她有20個半姐妹正在等她回到2077年。中央司令部希望亞歷克斯被活捉并掃描，看看她的DNA是否比正常的DNA更強更有力。但是亞歷克斯可能太苛刻了，不值得去捕捉。

　　20世紀70年代，在日本中小學生中間流傳著這樣一個恐怖的傳說：放學獨自走到公園附近時，會遇到一個帶著白色口罩、穿紅色風衣的女人。遇到路過者，她會摘下口罩，露出裂到耳朵的恐怖大嘴，問對方“我漂亮嗎？”如回答不漂亮，她會將對方毀容；若回答漂亮，她就將對方變得和自己一樣；如果逃跑，她會以極快的速度追上。這個女人的名字就叫：裂口女。　　各學校一時間人心惶惶，男女學生們都怕碰到這個可怕的女人，而大人們卻對這個謠言嗤之以鼻。但隨著一場不詳的地震發生，裂口女終于到來……
