花月殺手
影片改編自大衛(wèi)·格蘭所著暢銷書《Killers of the Flower Moon：The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI》，聚焦1920年代的美國俄克拉何馬州，“歐塞奇族印第安人謀殺案”（Osage Indian Mur ders）。當(dāng)年歐塞奇族人因原居地發(fā)現(xiàn)油礦而獲得持續(xù)巨額收入，有人為阻止上述安排而策劃連環(huán)謀殺，4年間60人被殺，震驚全國。為此當(dāng)年美國政府成立“調(diào)查局”（即FBI聯(lián)邦調(diào)查局前身）跨部門調(diào)查，揭發(fā)維護(hù)歐塞奇族人權(quán)益的“歐塞奇監(jiān)護(hù)人計(jì)劃”原來極度腐敗；最后即使在大量證據(jù)下，亦只有少數(shù)的謀殺案獲得起訴。

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
