影片取材自境外幸存人質真實自救經歷。                                                                      　　駐外記者馬笑（肖央 飾）和志愿醫生潘文佳（齊溪 飾）夫婦，陪同工程師苗峰（鄭愷 飾）赴郊區修理基站，當地局勢突變。三人一路躲避恐怖組織的無差別襲擊，最終還是被綁架淪為人質，并在獄中結識了華僑商人周偉杰（任達華 飾）。面對恐怖分子聞所未聞的屠殺暴行和以命換錢的勒索，他們歷經105天，展開了一場驚心動魄的自救逃生。

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　故事圍繞緝毒警察何光辰（鄭楚一飾）追查“將軍”販毒集團展開。一群“鬼面”狂徒黑吃黑劫走毒品，而幕后主使竟是何光辰的警校摯友（鄒兆龍飾），兩人從并肩立誓到正邪對立，上演刺刀見紅的生死博弈。劇情通過血腥動作場面和兄弟反目的人性掙扎，揭露黑惡勢力真相，最終將罪惡繩之以法。
