Leong,Bessie Loo,理查德·洛,Clarence Lung,阿瑟·馬克斯,查爾斯·米德爾頓,Miki Morita,Layne Tom Jr.,甘岱棠,Sammee Tong,I改編自賽珍珠的普立茲獎小說，是好萊塢在三十年代開始注意東方題材的代表性作品。影片雖是描寫中國農村夫婦的悲劇故事，但主角均由美國人扮演，導演悉尼．弗蘭克林也采取西方古典電影的風格來處理，在制作上相當嚴謹認真。劇情描寫保羅．茂尼與路易絲．萊娜本來是貧困的農民，面對饑荒的威脅甚至以烤土充饑。后來茂尼得到了一筆財富，竟整天花天酒地迷戀情婦，萊娜只有發揮賢妻的耐性期待丈夫浪子回頭。今天看來類似故事已顯得老套，但本片的拍攝與特技表現杰出，路易絲．萊娜亦獲得奧斯卡最佳女主角獎。

等待方舟

The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart. Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory? n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in. What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts. On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired. One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places. Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
牯嶺街少年殺人事件
張震,楊靜怡,張國柱,王啟贊,林鴻銘,金燕玲,王琄,張翰,姜秀瓊,賴梵耘,柯宇綸,譚志剛,馮國強,陳湘琪,金士杰結識小明（楊靜怡）前，小四（張震）是典型的乖仔，是父母的希望和兄妹的驕傲（一家人指望他考上名牌大學將來提升全家的社會地位），他有一個喜歡搖滾樂的自稱“小貓王（王啟贊）”的好友，兩人雖會去樹林看人幽會，但過的是與周圍諸多在“小公園”混的少年人完全兩樣的生活。 喜歡上小明后 ，小四便像跌進一個無底深淵，開始被外界的各種力量牽著鼻子走。新識仰慕對象honey（林鴻銘）意外身亡，一向敬重的父親的自尊與精神因為某次事件嚴重受損，加上將一次次“欺騙玩弄”他感情的小明“看透”，血氣方剛又有很強道德感的小四終于走上犯罪的道路，期望用自己的刀結束事件的根源。但小四不知的是，他眼中的根源只是這條食物鏈中微不足道的一環。

黃秋生,林嘉欣,陳家樂,湯怡,廖啟智,歐陽偉豪,歐錦棠,馮素波,鄧建明,駿雄保險經紀人葉永信(陳家樂 飾)某天接到一通神秘來電，電話中的男子問自殺后多久可以拿到賠償，隨后他接到上司通知有客戶指定他去跟進保單，葉上門拜訪時親眼目睹一個孩子吊死在屋中，他隨即認定客戶為詐取保險金而殺害兒子，決心暗中對朱重德(黃秋生 飾)和沈子玲(林嘉欣 飾)夫婦展開調查，恐嚇隨即接二連三發生在他及戀人文惠儀(湯怡 飾)身上，在又一起命案發生后，他愕然發覺事情和他的判斷并不一樣…
